In preparation for migration to Palestine, he was enrolled at the Landschulheim Herrlingen school under the leadership of Hugo Rosenthal. Ingeborg Johanna Cohen
born on October 31, 1919 in Berlin. She lived with her parents until she moved to Den Haag and later to Groningen. She was married to Hermann Cohen on August 22, 1942 and they lived in the Amalia van Solms Straat in Groningen. In October 1942 they were deported to Westerbork. From there they were moved to Camp Vught in February 20, 1943. She was forced to work sorting clothing until November 15, 1943 when she and her husband were returned to Westerbork and directly onward to Auschwitz. Her official date of death is January 31, 1944.
